We are excited to announce that registration for the APWG's third
annual Counter eCrime Operations Summit (CeCOS III) has opened and
that the program committee has posted the preliminary agenda.
The CeCOS III, to be held in Barcelona on May 12-14, reflects the
rapidly expanding APWG membership in Europe and presents an
extraordinary opportunity to build strategic alliances between counter-
eCrime operatives worldwide from both the private and public sectors.
NOTE: CeCOS III Barcelona will be an open conference, with all
sessions available to both member and non-member attendees.
APWG has always worked to build bridges between constituencies who
engage the threat electronic crime poses against consumers and
enterprises. With CeCOS III, the APWG will continue its mission of
unifying key counter ecrime constituencies from global economies and
key operatives (from financial services to telecoms to public sector
law enforcement and private sector security companies) against the
growing, international peril of electronic crime.
This year's meeting will focus on the development of e-crime response
approaches, resources for counter-ecrime managers and forensic
professionals and operational aspects of consumer protection.
Presenters will proffer assessments of ecrime attack paradigms and
technologies, case studies of national and regional economies under
attack, narratives of successful trans-national forensic cooperation,
paradigms for cooperation and unified response against ecrime and data
resources for forensic activities.
We've already accepted a number of presentation proposals and a panel,
to be posted soon, for the agenda. If you have conference presentation
suggestion, please forward them to APWG Secretary General Peter
Cassidy, pcassidy@antiphishing.org.
