Todd Bentley: Prophetic? Or...PATHETIC! A Biblical Examination of the "Lakeland Revival" 3

The Purpose
of
GodThoughtsWired!
GodThoughts Wired! exists to, "Evangelize the Church in the Age of Delusion." The era the Bible refers to as "the beginning of birth pangs," is here (see Mark 13:9). The age of "delusion" has begun! (see 2 Thessalonians 2:10-15). False teachers and false gospels are everywhere! The "angel of light" (see 2 Corinthians ) has become so influential in the "visible church" that even "false bibles" have made their way into mainstream Christianity (i.e. "The Message").
Tens of millions of sincere church-goers are being led astray by celebrity pastors and teachers presenting a "false gospel of grace" nowhere to be found in scripture. GodThoughtsWired! exists to make sure that when Jesus says, "Depart from Me, I never knew you"...He's not talking to you!
"And with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish,
because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence
so that they will believe what is false..."
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 (bold mine)
Scary! The Bible teaches us that there will come a time when multitudes will no longer "love the truth," thus forfeiting the possibility for salvation. These same folks will become so "deluded" that they will "believe what is false." And tragically,
They will be decieved...
But they won't know that they are deceived...
Because they are deceived!
And as I've said before (see above, "The Purpose of GodThoughtsWired!), this "Age of Delusion" has begun! Consider the following response to this series on The Lakeland Revival:
"This is pathetic, STOP SENDING ME THIS INFO
if you are going to Attack our Brothers in the Lord.
We are here for a purpose, Not to attack our Brothers,
rather to preach & Protect the body of Christ.""
-a concerned, and obviously very sincere GodThoughts subscriber
And this WARNING:
"Pastor Brad...be careful not to become a Pharisee,
holding so fast to the letter that you miss an outrageous and
Bible-prophesied hour of visitation by the very Jesus Christ (through His Spirit)
whom you so sincerely desire to follow and serve -
The Bible warns us that "many will be misled" in the last days (see Matthew 24:4, 11, 24). So powerful will be this widespread delusion that even the most sincere, professing Christians might be misled (please review Commentary on Lakeland Revival ):
"False prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders
so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect."
Matthew 24:24
Dear ones, please remember that our enemy's greatest means of deception is as the "angel of light" (see 2 Corinthians 11:13-15). One of the greatest tools of deception is the presentation of "error" wrapped in a veneer of truth.
