Search Scamdex & Scamalot
An Email with the Subject "Please Update Your Account Records" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 11 Apr 2007 04:58:04 -0700 and has been classified as a Phishing, ID Theft Scam Email. The sender shows as "Kauai Community FCU" <updates@kcfcu.org>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Due to concerns, for
the safety and integrity of the Kauai Community Federal Credit Union
account we have issued this warning message.
It has come to our attention that
your Kauai Community Federal Credit Union account information needs to be
updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account
and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please
take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and update your personal records you
will not run into
any future problems with the online service.
However, failure to update your
records will result in account suspension.
Please update your records on or before
April 10 , 2007.
Once you have updated your account records your Kauai Community Federal Credit Union account
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.
