Search Scamdex & Scamalot
An Email with the Subject "New regulations placed on visa card usage overseas" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 27 Jun 2006 11:06:20 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "JPMorgan Chase & Co." <account@chase.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

Because of increasing number of international credit card
fraud cases, JPMorgan Chase & Co. has limited
(or blocked) use of JPMorgan Chase & Co. issued cards in certain countries. This is done to protect you from becoming a
fraud
victim.
Travelers will NOT be able to use their JPMorgan Chase & Co. debit/credit cards in the following countries:
Romania
North Korea
Ukraine
Pakistan
Spain
Your visa card is temporary deactivated. This security
measure is to protected you againts unauthorized transaction.
If you choose to
reactivate your card, you may withdraw cash in the form of a cash advance only in the
United States.
Activate Your Card Online
1. Log
in to Internet Banking
2. Click on the Account Services tab
3. Select the
Activate Visa Card link
4. Enter your card number and
click Activation Request
